Hi,
Oh dear! I am so sorry! I knew Josie had health issues but I did not expect this news.

Josie and I always talked at the meetings when I was a Seattle chapter member, and at the annual holiday parties at Outback Steakhouse. I remember when they lost their daughter, Christen, due to a blood clot that went to her heart.

Then the family moved to northern Minnesota for Todd's job. I remember laughing about how cold it was going to be and how I bet they wouldn't stay there. They didn't.

I did not know about Rob's passing. What happened to him?

I feel really sad for Todd who has lost his entire family. This is a tragedy not experienced by many. I send my prayers and condolences to him and to the Washington affiliate.
Thanks,
Lauren Merryfield

Subject: [NFBWATLK] Josie Armantrout

We have lost another member of our affiliate and a kind, generous person. Josie Armantrout died on Thursday, January 18. She had been in and out of the hospital over the last 2 years and had some serious health issues. The last time I spoke with Josie (last month) she was at home and in good spirits. She was only in her 50’s. As some of you know, both of the Armantrout children died before Josie. Their son Robert died just about one year ago. Josie was a past President of the Greater Seattle NFB chapter. She was kind and generous to everyone she met. She was always quick to welcome new members to the chapter and believed strongly in the NFB philosophy and supported our programs; giving both her money and her time. Josie’s husband Todd attended our January chapter meeting. Todd always supported Josie and is also a valued member of the NFB.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday, January 25, at 2:30 pm at the Bonney-Watson Funeral Home, 1535 SW Dash Point Rd in Federal Way. There is bus service which stops very close to the facility.

We extend our sympathies to Todd and the family.

Marci
