  We are excited to present the position of BSC AdministrativeAssistant to the blind community in hopes of finding qualified candidates whomay be interested.  Please see below job description:
Location:             Lakewood, Washington
Dept.:                  BaseSupply Centers  Reports to:          Sr.Vice President of RetailHours:                 Full-time (40hrs wkly.), Monday -Friday, DaysSalary:                D.O.E. 
Summary:  Performa wide range of administrative and office support activities to support Sr.Vice President, Admin staff located in Lakewood office, e-commerce queries, andBSC operations. Facilitate the efficient  operation of the organization.   
EssentialJob Functions:  ·      Answer, screen, andtransfer inbound calls, assist with customer problems. ·      Schedule andcoordinate appointments, meetings, events, and travel arrangements. ·      Screen, admit anddirect visitors (appointment only office for security reasons). ·      General clericalduties including; photocopying, faxing, and mailing or shipping via FedEx tocorporate offices and BSC locations. ·      Reconcile expensereports using Excel. ·      May prepare or assistwith PowerPoint presentations, bids, quotes or other materials. ·      Handle requests forinformation and data. ·      Prepare and modifydocuments including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails ·      Maintain officesupply inventory, order supplies as required.  ·      Data input in POSsoftware to include entering/updating customers info, gathering data onperformance and assisting customers with password or other technical support. ·      Act as the centralpoint for issues concerning network connectivity and POS problems.  Works with IT or other technical advisors andcommunicates problems, progress and solutions to all users. ·      Audit/monitor certainbusiness performance or processes that require oversight. ·      Monitor AbilityOnemailbox, forward to appropriate personnel for handling. ·      Month end reportingas required.  ·      Complete newvendor/supplier applications and all required forms. ·      Otherduties as assigned.   Key Competencies:  ·      Excellentcommunication skills written and verbal ·      Planning,organizing, and prioritizing ·      Problemassessment and solving ·      Attentionto detail and accuracy ·      Flexibleand adaptable  ·      Customerservice orientated ·      Abilityto cope with pressure ·      Personablephone manner ·      PCliteracy, and current technical skills with other devices (phones, tablets) ·      Goodjudgement ·      Creative    MinimumRequirements:  ·      AA degree required/BA degreepreferred ·      Proficient in MS Office; Word,Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint ·      Ability to communicate clearly,concisely and persuasively both verbally and in writing ·      Understand process control, errorproofing concepts ·      Must be organized, efficient,respectful of other team members time ·      Honesty and discretion regardingsensitive or confidential matters ·      Knowledge of standard officeequipment ·      Knowledge of clerical andadministrative procedures and system such as filing and record-keeping  Thoughyou may meet the requirements for work eligibility in the United States, thisposition requires that you meet special government/military compliance regulations(ITAR-International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
