Greetings! My name is Marian Mays and I am the Youth Services Librarian here at WTBBL.

Our Fall Pen Pal Program registration is now open! It's a great way for students to practice reading and writing in braille or large print. Students in grades 1-12 are matched with another student by reading grade level and medium (UEB or large print). All letters are mailed to WTBBL, and WTBBL will forward the letters to the pen pals. *Students are required to write at least three letters to their pen pal before the deadline of December 15.*

Participation in the program is free. Registration forms can be completed by teachers or parents. To register, return the attached form by Friday, September 9, 2016 to marian.mays at sos.wa.gov<mailto:marian.mays at sos.wa.gov> or WTBBL C/O Marian Mays at 2021 9th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121.

Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions or concerns.

Best,

Marian
