As a newly created division of the Seattle Office for Civil Rights (SOCR) <http://seattle.us10.list-manage.com/track/click?u=ac75b3ad7b4529d7a58d3b08e&id=61710b3e8c&e=892e03c0d1> , the Office of Labor Standards is implementing Seattle’s new minimum wage and wage theft ordinances, as well as existing laws for paid sick and safe time and the use of criminal history in employment decisions.

The Office of Labor Standards is currently hiring two new positions:

  

OLS Division Director

The Office of Labor Standards has an exciting employment opening for a Division Director. This individual will work with the SOCR Director overseeing labor standards ordinances, including community/business outreach, grant processes and regulatory compliance, combining technical expertise and communication and outreach skills with a mission to enhance equity for workers, businesses and residents of the City of Seattle.

Labor Standards Community Liaison

The Labor Standards Community Liaison will help develop and implement OLS’s outreach and engagement strategies for Seattle’s workforce, including communities of color, worker advocacy groups, underserved, immigrant and refugee communities. The Community Liaison will develop education and outreach materials, educate workers on their rights and manage outreach and education grants to community-based organization.
