Grassroots Organizing"

As part of Disability Pride Week at the University of Washington, the ASUW
Student Disability Commission & the Seattle Disability Justice Collective
present:

Disability Justice: Intersectionality and Grassroots Organizing @ Condon
110A, 5:30-7PM

Come join the Disability... Justice Collective in an engaging discussion
about activism and radical organizing at the intersections! We will be
discussing the unique challenges and opportunities for those experiencing
"multiple marginalities" in society; that is, those who identify as disabled
AND queer/transgendered, poor, and people of color. Find out who the DJC is,
what kind of disability justice movement we want to create in Seattle, and
who we seek as allies in our quest for liberation. This will be an
interactive workshop, so come prepared to discuss scenarios related to
access, collaboration, community building, and tensions related to claiming
multiple identities that seek justice.
