Howdy,

This is a final reminder of the great event happening this coming Saturday,
June 18, 2011, consisting of a workshop, potluck dinner, and concert with
Northwest duo, The Wanderers! If you’re interested in attending, please
call to make reservations, as this is a house concert and workshop, and the
hostess would like to know how to best plan.

Many of you were not able to be at the standing-room-only Woody Guthrie
tribute hosted by the Wanderers at Folklife. This will be your chance to
learn all about Woody Guthrie, especially his time in the Pacific Northwest.

Information follows.

Carl Allen and Bill Murlin have been performing together for over 50 years.
They are Northwest experts and scholars on Woody Guthrie's Columbia River
songs. Their workshops are filled with facts, stories and songs. A concert
by the Wanderers includes many of Woody Guthrie's Columbia River songs as
well as classics from The Kingston Trio, Pete Seeger, Tom Paxton, Terry
Gilkyson and the Easy Riders, and Phil Ochs, among others. And singing
along is a must! (www.thewanderersfolk.com)

Woody Guthrie's Columbia River Songs workshop – Saturday June 18, 4pm - $15

Wanderers "folk heroes" concert and hootenanny – Saturday June 18, 7:30pm -
$15

Attend both and a pot-luck supper between shows - $25

Near Bellevue (WA) College

For reservations, contact: Jean at 425-747-7655 or neeej at aol.com.

By the time the concert is over, you’ll be on such a musical high that you
won’t want the evening to end quite yet. If that’s the case, you can go to
Egan’s Ballard Jam house for the Washington For Wisconsin Benefit, where you
can continue listening to local musicians and show support for the working
people of Wisconsin! Information follows.
