[nfbwatlk] Happy Thanksgiving

It may be he day after Thanksgiving, but I have much to be thankful for.
Some of these are that I am thankful for not being born a woman in a country
or culture where being a woman or female is almost a crime with a sentence
of hard labor, servitude, isolation and no civil right. I am thankful that
my country and culture does not require those with disabilities to hide
themselves or that their highest aspirations are to be beggars, I am
grateful that my country if not my culture allows me to have friends that
cover a rainbow of colors, abilities, religions and cultures. I am
especially grateful that I have been born in the United States where I am
allowed to be a citizen. This country may not be perfect, but we were wise
enough to dedicate a holiday to gratitude, family and friends and the fun of
feasting with them. The only other country in the world to have s holiday
like our Thanksgiving is Canada.

Here's wishing everyone a great and happy Thanksgiving.

I've got a stable job, good health, and the best friends and family a person
could want. How lucky can I be?

Take care,
