Subject: Community Transit input

Dear Jacob,

Thanks for your past input on the Community Transit website. I would like
your comments again.

I have been researching the accessibility of Adobe Acrobat PDFs. We have
begun posting some useful (transit center maps) information in this format,
as well as some other information (Important News
<http://www.commtrans.org/News/ImportantNews.cfm> , Swift Construction
Newsletter) that is available in other formats on our website (primarily the
Rider <http://www.commtrans.org/News/RiderAlerts.cfm> Alerts page).

Do you have the newer Adobe Acrobat software or screen reader programs that
can read some of these PDF documents? Would most blind users have access to
that software?

Because of our previous conversations, I am most interested in figuring out
how to make the transit center maps accessible, since these help orient
people to the location of bays and what routes serve each bay. Here's the
Lynnwood Transit Center map
<http://www.commtrans.org/BusService/Images/TransitCentersMaps/LTC.pdf> as
an example.

Do you have any suggestions?

As an update to our past conversations, we are working toward getting all
stops listed in order with each route, based on direction of travel. These
will be posted on the route schedule page, and our goal is to have them up
sometime in February. I know that will be excellent information for all our
customers.

Thank you for your time and thoughts.

Sincerely,

Kristin Kinnamon
