AJC-Griffey Chooses Atlanta

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution

decided to sign with the Atlanta Braves rather than return to Seattle.

The deal does not appear to be finalized yet as the Mariners as of 10:10
Pacific had yet to hear word that they had lost in their pursuit of Jr.

Jack Zduriecik will speak with the media in Peoria once he is told the
signing is official. I will have more then.
