[nfbwatlk] Mariners Update

Lauren:

You are corect. If I remember rightly, the M's hung on for a 5-4 or 6-5
victory. I thought the relievers were going to blow it there for a while
(the Mariners were running through them pretty quickly there in the late
innings) but they toughed it out and won. It's that sort of play and
attitude that'll get the mariners to the play-offs.

I do have a minor beef with MLB Media, though, and it has nothing to do
with access for once. I just logged in intending to either play last
night's game again via the Kiro broadcast or watch the "condensed game"
TV feed (I have Premium Access) but most of the feeds (including that of
KIRO) are to be "archived soon". Harumph! What are those web dudes and
dudettes doing back there, sleeping? The feeds are *supposed* to be
archived 45 minutes after the games. But they aren't. Or perhaps it's
that the whole page hasn't been updated; it still shows yesterday's
feeds and in previous years (I've subscribed to GameDay Audio ever since
it was started in 2001), the "today" page was up by this time even if
the games don't start till ten o'clock our time.

Oh well; there are still some rip-roaring good NHL games on today
although accessing them isn't as straightforward as it once was (I
usually access the stations I can directly via
http://www.billsparks.org).

Oh well.

Mike Freeman
