When I lived in Mexico for one month, after graduating from high school, I was taken to several workshops for the blind, and the training centerfor the blind in Mexico City. At that time, (1968) many blind people sang in street bands, or worked in the small family-owned foodstands. . The unemployment rate among the blind was extremely high. Currency identification was never mentioned.
. No blind person I met needed help with identifying their money.
