[nfbwatlk] Requiem for an Old Friend

Those who have been members of the NFB of Washington for a while will
remember with fondness the many occasions when they partook of food and
fellowship at a local Mexican restaurant in Vancouver, Casa Grande. The
Clark County chapter held many parties there and I suspect that most of
the blind persons in Vancouver in both the Federation and the Council
did their level best to support that restaurant. Its food was always
delicious, its portions were always generous, its staf was always
courteous and its owners, George and Jo Trejo, were the best!

It is with great sadness that I must inform you that Casa Grande has
been sold and that it closed at the end of February. So while there are
still many good Mexican and texmex eateries here in the Vancouver area,
our companion of long-standing is no more.

Fetch another hand-towel for Al, Jeri; that handkerchief just won't be
enough!
