Good Job Mike and Gary, downtown Everett will be good, and I believe this is
a fairly new hotel. The amtrack, greyhound, and local buses including sound
transet all run out of the same new transet center. This combination bus and
train station is really nice. Seattle could learn from this set up.
Anyway it will be a good convention.

Subject: [nfbwatlk] Fall Convention
Fellow Federationists:
WE have made arrangements for the annual convention of the National
Federation of the Blind of Washington this fall. WE will be going to the
Holiday Inn in downtown Everett. Room rates will be $85 per night plus
tax, singles, doubles, triples, quads. The dates are October 3-5, 2008.
The hotel is easily accessible via mass transit and is within walking
distance of the Grayhound and AMTRAK stations. I am told that it is a
very nice hotel with a restaurant and an espresso stand in the lobby.
I will give more details as we get closer to the convention. We haven't
been to Everett since the early 1990's so it will be an interesting
experience for many of us. As I said earlier, we will have a student
seminar on Friday conducted by the NFB of Washington Student division.
Start saving your sheckles now! You won't want to miss the convention!
Michael Freeman, President
National Federation of the Blind of Washington
