State School for the Blind opens first satellite office The Associated
Press VANCOUVER, Wash. The Washington State School for the Blind has
announced the opening of its first satellite office.

The opening of the school's one-person office in Pasco was announced
Monday. It's intended to provide assistance to families and educators in
Eastern Washington.

The office is a joint venture between the school in Vancouver and
Educational Service Districts based in Yakima and the Tri-Cities. 

About 45 students are housed at the school in Vancouver. It was founded
in 1996.
