Hello All,
I found out today that at the end of July our state will be playing host
to 10 blind Korean students and 2 chaparones. They would like to link up
with other blind adults and teens here in the states. We are also
looking for two host families. There will be 8 girls and 2 boys and the
students will spend a week in the host families homes and then rotate
out for the next person. The Seattle Chapter will schedule our picnic in
July so that these students can attend and socialize with us.One goal is
for these students to find mentors here in the states. Most of the
classes and activities during the week will be in Lynwood, so please
take this into account when opening your home to these students. They
are looking for activities and sightseeing during the weekends. Anyone
interested in participating this summer, please contact me on or off
list so we can get names and addresses to the right people.
See you Saturday evening at E. B. Foote Winery for our Wine Tasting Event.
