Hello, all.
The Inland Empire chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of
Washington recently held elections for 2008. The results are as follows:
Maria Bradford president, Paul Whipple First Vice President, Dolorous
Keyser Second Vice President, Judy Croy Treasurer, John Croy Secretary,
Susan Lincoln Card Secretary, Gloria Whipple Corresponding Secretary,
and our two board Members are: Jeanne Whipple and Cody Christianson.
This is a solid group of officers and I am sure that under their
leadership, the Inland Empire chapter will prosper this year.
At its meeting yesterday, the Seattle chapter of the National Federation
of the Blind of Washington also held elections. Results are as follows:
Kris Lawrence, President; Rita Szantay, First Vice-president; Kay
Burrows, Second Vice-president; Andrea Travis, Secretary; Doug Johnson,
Treasurer; Mike Mello, Board of Directors and Bo Donahoe, Board of
Directors.
This is also a solid group of leaders and I am sure that under their
leadership, the Seattle chapter will also prosper during 2008.
Congratulations to all those elected. In saying this, however, I also
think we should remember that one need not be an officer to be a leader
in the NFB of Washington; this is your organization and leadership is
defined as initiative and imagination and the ability to generate
enthusiasm. So we are all potential leaders. But we have entrusted our
leadership -- real and titular -- in the above officers. Congratulations
to all! They and we are, I am sure, up to the challenges that lie ahead.
