[nfbwatlk] car insurance

Hi,
The person who would most likely be driving the car pays around $200 with
Gieco for his cars and they quoted $350 for me because I wouldn't be
driving. He was shocked at the difference in prices.
He would probably just drive the car around the block every now and then to
make sure it is still running. Then Lynden might drive it when she is
visiting, which is once a year at most.
$350 for such minor use sounds too high to me, but several people have told
me I would have to pay more because I wouldn't be driving, but they don't
seem to explain why.
I have also been advised to just sell my old car because keeping it and
insuring it might cost me more in the long run. Lynden is old enough now
that she could rent a car when she comes to visit.
I am trying to figure out which is the best thing to do since the car does
still run.
Thanks
Lauren
