Greetings, fellow Federationists.
The Washington state House of Representatives is slated to come out with
its budget for 2008 on Wednesday. Now would be a good time to call the
legislative hotline at (800) 562-6000 or, preferably, your
representatives' Olympia offices directly and let them know that you
support the appropriation in the Governor's budget for the library for
the Blind -- WTBBL. If you don't know who your legislators are, the
hotline should be able to tell you and give you office telephone numbers
for them. You can also go to the web page
http://apps.leg.wa.gov/DistrictFinder/Default.aspx
and enter your street address, city and zipcode and determine who your
representatives are from this page.
In any event, now is the time to make those calls. This is
time-sensitive.
Together, we can ensure that WTBBL gets the funding it needs to provide
exemplary service.
