Thanks for posting this letter Mike.
Emotions trump intellect every time.
Your reference to Queen for a Day is exactly on target.  Touchy Feely Shows 
warm millions of hearts and bring tears to their eyes.  Just try pointing 
out the negative impact upon blind people through such productions and watch 
a warm, fuzzy, loving crowd turn into an angry, snarling mob.
If we can't find ways to head off these do-gooder-for-profit shows, and we 
can't, then perhaps we can find a way of turning them to our advantage.  I 
just haven't figured out how we can do that yet.
