Dear Lauren:
I would first like to thank you for taking the time to write. I welcome and appreciate your comments. They are very important to me.

In your message, you voice support for the Washington Talking Book and Braille Library. I thank you for taking the time to contact my office about this funding. Although this is a great cause, I cannot promise funding. I will keep your comments in mind while budget decisions are being made.

If you have any further questions feel free to contact my office at (360) 786-7804.

Sincerely,
Hans

Dear Committee Members,
I am writing you to ask that you support Governor Gregoire's
supplementary budget request for funding of the Washington Talking Book
and Braille Library (WTBBL). Blind people don't have access to books

everywhere as print-readers do, and our library gives us access to all

kinds of books, including books especially geared to the Northwest.

I am an avid braille reader, so I am all for anything that keeps

braille books available to blind persons. I often read "talking books"

too, on cassette.

Please say "yes" to the budget request. It means a lot to all of us

blind persons out here in Washington.
Thanks
Lauren Merryfiel
