Hi Everyone,  Here is a  press release for the movie Blindsight   
opening this Friday April 11th. The film has embedded audio  
description and is showing at the Metro Cinema 4500 9th Ave. NE.  
( University District)  We requested and they are installing the  
specialized technology to play audio description for the film's  
opening. The show times are 12:50 3:40 6:30 and 9:00. It is a feature  
length film with a running time of approximately 2 hours. The theater  
is on the East side of 9th Ave. in the first block off 45th St. and  
one block west of Roosevelt in the U District. Some of the Bus routes  
that stop close by are 44, 49,and 66. You can also take all the # 70  
- 74 which stop close to University Ave. ( 4 blocks from the  
theater )  WCB will be celebrating the opening at the 6:30 show on  
Friday night and also some folks from the Braille tutoring class will  
be going to the 3:40 show on Friday! Come and join us at the Opening  
or later in the week. The film will be showing through Thursday April  
17th  ( or longer if it is popular) Don't forget the popcorn!


Tibet story ignites Seattle’s blind community

With so many focused on the Dalai Lama’s visit and the Olympic torch,  
Seattle’s blind community eagerly awaits the opening of “BlindSight”  
this Friday at the Metro Cinema, 4500 9th Ave. NE (in the University  
District).

The movie features the gripping adventure of six blind Tibetan  
teenagers who set out to climb the 23,000 foot Lhakpa Ri on the north  
side of Mount Everest with Erik Weihenmayer, famed mountain climber,  
and Sabriye Tenberken, their mentor, founder of Braille Without  
Borders, and one of Oprah's Phenomenal Women.  ( The May book pick
