Subject: [Wcb-l] Excersion to see Blindsight the movie

Hello all. As you know, Blindsight is a movie that features an amazing
woman from Germany named Sabriye Tenburken, the school she started in
Tibet
for the blind, and the trek she, 6 students and Eric Weinmeyer took up a
23
thousand foot mountain neighboring Mount Everest. Some of you may have
heard Sabriye on my show recently; she is an amazing woman.

Blindsight opens this Friday in Seattle, and WCB will have a presence
there.
Not only are we trying to get as many folks out to see the movie as
possible, but we will have a table with our brochures, our new and cool
WCB
banner, and a Brailler with cards to write the names of passers-by who
wish
to see their name in Braille. You can help with some of this or none of
it
and just come see the movie. here are the details. I will get more
details, such as the movie length in order for folks to schedule
effective
transit. Patt Copeland is looking around at possible pre-movie dinner
spots, and I'll get back with you on that as well. For now what I need
is
to hear from folks who want to see this audio described movie. the
theatre
is very willing to work with us and they want to ensure that everyone
who
needs one has a headset with which to hear the audio description.

Please respond to me off list, that means don't hit reply to all, just
reply, control r. i don't want to flood the list with too much traffic.

Blindsight will open on Friday April 11th at the Metro Cinema
4500 9th Ave. NE Seattle WA 98105. ( in the University District. ) The
times
the
movie will play are:
12:50
3:40 PM
6:30 PM (which is the time we are suggesting for our outing)
9:00 PM

Warmly,

Marlaina

Today is a gift; that's why it is called the present.
