Hello Dean:

As a former member of WCB & ACB; I assure you that your feelings are valid.
I too have traveled in foreign countries and worked for years without audible
signals.

My training is not the best either, however we must not become too dependant
on any type of travel technology. Good O & M skills are vital. I will spend
a few cycles at an unfamiliar intersection to get to know it. I also speak
from experience again, because I have allowed myself to use para transit far
too much. I am slowly breaking that habit and using the regular city bus more
often like I used too. That's the danger you see. At times I would be afraid
to even cross Northwest Avenue in Bellingham. I guess I got spoiled with para
transit or ACCESS and lost some of my skills. I am not ashamed to admit  this;
I am now getting more O & M.

All members make policy in this organization not just a few. I know the WCB
does the same.
