Hi Judy,
The stats I sent were from the client satisfaction survey.  This is the 
survey prepared by the State Rehab Council and sent to all clients of DSB. 
However, this particular survey that I posted was only a three month look at 
the skills training provided.  In a larger survey sample, 135 clients were 
contacted by telephone and given the survey verbally.  The response was 
fairly large, and the percentage of those involved in Braille training was 
about 11 percent, rather than the 3 percent in the smaller sample.  Still, 
it was far below any of the other skills training offered by the Department.
I posted these numbers only for the purpose of raising the question; is the 
Department doing all that is possible to present Braille in a way the will 
encourage clients to train and use the skill.
