Heads Up!
Fellow operators:
Here's a story from BakersField, California about Goodwill Industries
placing a developmentally disabled person into a vending machine
business.
The first part of the story is reprinted below, and the link to the
entire story follows.
Lee Ray Bohannon takes inventory of items in his vending machine at
Gottschalks in the Plaza. With the help of Goodwill Industries,
Bohannon's business
is growing. At right is his business coach, Rebecca Benidez.
"I want to hire people to come do this and I get to stay home," he said
as he loaded snacks into a machine Thursday morning.
Sandy Meeks, who runs the program that connected Bohannon with this job,
sets more modest goals for him -- an electric, refrigerated vending
machine, and
a few more locations.
Four days a week, Bohannon fills the vending machines he owns as part of
his business, Lee Ray's Vending.
For the entire story, go to the link below.
