Please write me off list. I have some people in our chapter who may
be
interested.

Hello Mike and List:
Since my birthday is fast approaching (10-2); I'm going to say my
peace on
the subject once more about the need to attract youth and students to
the
NFB.
We don't have a student division in this state. We need one badly;
and yet
no one has contacted me to discuss it besides Jacob and Jennifer and
the
nice
support from Kris; thanks. Even at almost 38; I am a student and will
be
for
some time. I am passionate about this and it must be done and taken
seriously.
I hate to break this to all of you, but this is vital for our future.
Who
will take our place when we move on?
I have been hearing from others that neither a student division nor a
senior
division is needed. I was also told a long time ago that we did not
need a
chapter in Bellingham either; but here we are. We are struggling but
we are
here.
I have made the choice to make the NFB part of my life and give as
much of
my talent and experience as I can. I was told once that any
organization is
as
strong as its weakest member. We have the potential to be strong. The
choice
is in our hands.
I have made many strives in growth with my NFB & CFB families. I am
attempting to give back. Now as I start a new year at 38; I once
again
renew my
commitment to the NFB & CFB.
Strength is in our unity and membership. Please don't let this issue
go
Think about it; where would we be with no Student division and
senior
division
for the state affiliate? We donât have a future if we continue to
choose to
neglect these segments of the population. We must stop stalling and
get
these
divisions off the ground. Please help assure the future of our state
affiliate. This is one of the major reasons why I am planning to come
to
convention.
Respectfully:
