Hi everyone,
I followed up on Noel's e-mail re EARN and the employment opportunity with
EEOC. I sent EARN my résumé as well as my reinstatement letter for DI from
Social Security. It would seem obvious that if I am being reinstated, I
have a disability. However, Social Security does not use letterhead and
there was a typed not a written signature at the bottom.
So, now I have to get my physician to write a letter on the clinic's
letterhead and make sure he signs it so I can fax it to EARN and they can
assure themselves I didn't just write the letter myself. Ah, the joys of
bureaucracy! The job opportunity may disappear by the time I satisfy this
requirement.
Just a cautionary tale for those who are thinking of submitting Social
Security documents as proof of Schedule A eligibility.
