Hi Lisa,

Sorry to hear you were in the hospital, breathing problems are so hard and take so much strength from a person. A first convention can be a bit surprising, so I reccomend you take an extra pair or two of socks for you might find that they will be blown off in the fisrt few days. Going through resolutions can be a bit dull at times, but when it comes to the voting on them later it is an awsome thing to witness. Well worth the strain on one's bottom. Plan to have fun fun fun and learn learn learn. The pool at the hotel is an indoor outdorr and it is really nice.

I wish to offer my continuing prayers to Dan and jim. Get well soon.
I was in the hospital myself from May 2-May 4 for a lung infection. Back
home today. Still very weak. But back online.
I am really happy that a couple of our members were able to go to the CFB
convention this weekend. Jennifer and Maria, have a great time in
Canada
. Sorry
I couldn't have gone as well, maybe next year.
Updates:
Some things on our plans for summer for our chapter:
Forming two divisions
State student division
state senior division (with Ron's help)
more fund raising
keeping members interested in the chapter
attracting new members
Any feedback is always welcome. We are always striving to make things better
in
Whatcom
County
and beyond. This is my primary reason for going to
National (to learn to be a better federationisst).
I know the good work we do for the chapter will benefit all in this state.
Anyone interested in the state student division or the senior division
please call me at the number listed below. Even if it is a small number of you
who
are interested please call anyway. All of us can strengthen the affiliate
and our own chapters if we work together for these good divisions wich we
desperately need. I am asking for all interested parties in the state to call
me
not just people in this region. Our strength is in the quality of our members
and the strength of our membership and how we work together. Mike I am sure
you will agree and support what we are wishing to do. We are a very passionate
chapter and we want to help make our state affiliate as strong as possible.
Feedback and support is always needed, supported and appreciated.
Update for National:
We will reserve our rooms this week (thanks for the assistance Mike)
registration fees will also be paid online this week also (sorry for the
delay) I just got out of the hospital
I just wanted to demonstrate how determained Jennifer and I want to see
this process through for not only National but our chapter and beyond.
Cheers to the CFB for their convention and I hope to meet some of you at
National.
Graduating from
Whatcom
Community College
next month with my second AAS
degree and going to
Western
Washington
University
in the fall. CT, please email
me off list for the formation of the student division and Jacob please email me
as well. Your help is needed to get the division started. Mike I will keep
you posted as well off the list. Your support is needed also.
Thanks to all of you on the list and it's good to be back online with you.
