Friends:

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and best wishes during this 
time in my life.  I particularly appreciate the support that 
Renee felt in reading your responses while I was hospitalized.  
I'm home now, somewhat weak and adjusting to a new and different 
way of living, but all seems to be going according to plan.  The 
potential for complications post-operatively hasn't completely 
passed, but I'm following the rules and taking things as I feel 
equal to them.  Thanks again from us both for your outpooring of 
love and support.  We also appreciate both Noel and Gary for 
offering initial information about my status to the community in 
Washington State so that Renee didn't have to manage this while 
she was with me at the hospital.  We look forward to seeing you 
all at the National Convention this summer and at our state 
convention this fall, assuming that I can manage this time away 
as well.  We'd like making annual attendance at the NFBW 
convention an on-going tradition, where we can't live in the 
state at this stage in our lives.
