Kalama teen wins Braille competition

By Associated Press

KALAMA, Wash. (AP) - A Kalama teenager won first place and $4,000 in the
National Braille Challenge.

Mac Potts competed against 11 other ninth-grade students from across the
country in reading and writing Braille last weekend at Los Angeles. He 
also
won a PacMate, a personal computer for blind people.

Mac was born blind and has studied Braille since he was four years old.
