GDB Happenings at NFB and ACB  Summer Conventions Summer is here and the
GDB staff is ramping up for our participation in this summer's consumer
conventions.  Whether you are attending these conventions or live in the
areas where they are happening, we hope you can join us for some of the
following activities!

National Federation of the Blind, Atlanta GA Marriott Marquis Hotel
265 Peachtree Center Avenue
Atlanta, Georgia 30303

GDB staff are excited to be participating in both the O&M professionals
workshops and meetings and activities hosted by the National 
Organization of
Parents of Blind Children during the NFB Convention week.  We will also 
be
attending the National Association of Guide Dog Users meetings.

Throughout the week we will be providing Guide Dog Lifestyle Workshops 
for
people considering a Guide Dog.  Please direct any of your interested
friends and colleagues to our booth to sign up for these fun and 
informative
seminars.

Some other activities that we hope you join us for are listed below.

Monday July 3 from 4:30 - 5:30 - NEW Speaker's Bureau training in the 
GDB
suite.  Open to all GDB grads!

Monday July 3 from 5:30 to 7:00 - Alumni Reception in the GDB Suite - 
Come
join us for some Dog House Wine and goodies!

Wed, July 4th from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM - Reception in the GDB Suite for 
those
considering the Guide Dog lifestyle.

Come by our booths at both NFB and ACB and sign up for chances to win 
great
prizes!!

GDB graduates and prospective students come and enjoy our breakfast

Wednesday, July 4rd at 2:30 pm
 GDUI hosted seminar, "Click on This", a clicker training seminar (a
prerequisite for the workshop on Wednesday)

Wednesday, July 4th at 5:30 pm
Attend a special GDUI clicker training workshop.
Learn from the experts including Guide Dog's Michele Pouliot, Director 
of
Research and Development.
Don't miss the interview with Michele on the GDUI radio broadcast on
Wednesday morning!

Thursday, July 5th at 2:00 - 3:00 pm
Attend GDUI hosted presentation "Dog Attacks, Protection and Prevention"
lead by Emily Simone

If you have friends who are interested in learning more about GDB, have 
them
stop by our booth in the Exhibit Hall for a "Juno" walk and some work 
with a
trained Guide Dog.
