As a former employee of Girl Scouts Totem Council, our local Girl Scout
affiliate, I can assure you that the two organizations are separate in
every aspect. They do not have any animosity towards each other and will
be at the same events in some occasions. I can speak that on a local
level, Girl Scouts are very accessible and I have used the Braille is
Beautiful program at a number of meetings. I am involved in my daughters
troop and work closely with the local service unit manager on a number
of things.
As things work, a national rep would be nice, but working on a local
level is the key. Things do go "up" the pipeline just as well as they go
"down" the pipe line in my experience.

We are certainly interested in establishing contacts with Girl Scouts. We are also interested in the Boy Scouts venturing program which is open to boys and girls.
