Needed!
The Education Sub-Committee of the Mill Plain Traffic Safety Corridor
project met yesterday to discuss summer outreach opportunities. We
focused our attention on summer bicycle and pedestrian safety education.
Please see the attached notes from the meeting for more details.
A BIKE RODEO is being held on Wednesday, July 11 at the main branch of
the Ft. Vancouver Regional Library (1007 E. Mill Plain Blvd). Volunteers
are needed to help check bikes, fit helmets and assist with the
instructional/practice course. The Mill Plain Traffic Safety Corridor
project will help sponsor the event by providing free helmets, wrist
bands with safety messages and other educational materials.
If you would like to volunteer to help with the bike rodeo, come to the
side parking area on the east side of the library at 10 am on July 11.
Please RSVP and let me know if you can volunteer for this safety event!
