Hello, all!

The bills designed to facilitate the transition of WTBBL to operation by the 
Washington State Library (WSL) have been introduced. The House bill is 
HB-2058 and the Senate bill is SB-5911. The Senate bill has been sent to 
Ways and Means and the House bill has been sent to Government and Tribal 
Affairs.

I'll give you more detail on this during the coming days.

The budget request to operate WTBBL over the next year and on into the 2008 
biennium has also been prepared. It asks for enough money to make up the 
shortfall WTBBL has been using gift funds to fill plus money for the 
transition to operation by WSSL. Again, more information will follow.
