The Mill Plain Traffic Safety Corridor Steering Committee met last week.
I have attached the meeting notes, an updated roster and a Columbian
editorial. Thanks to Gina Beretta and Sgt. Wayne Reynolds for providing
additional information regarding the legislative bills and enforcement
statistics.

Legislation Info (from Gina Beretta): 

House Bill 1867: This is the one that most directly relates to our
corridor projects. Good news is that it doesn't say only state routes,
so hopefully ALL corridors could benefit. Deb Wallace is the second
sponsor.

House Bill 1655: This is the one that looks to be mostly engineering
fixes on the highways designated as high accident corridors by DOT.

Senate Bill 5147: This would add the $2 to liability insurance and the
money would go the state patrol, 2/3 for state highways and 1/3 for
county road enforcement.
