Hey Maria,
I read a biography about Ray and he was adamant about no cane, no dog. I am
always sorry he didn't realize the benefits of using a cane.

Hi Everyone,
Ronnie Milsap performed during the Fair last fall. It was a good concert! He
talked about the school for the Blind in North Carolina, and how he used to
play piano for Elvis. I'll ask a friend who went to the concert, but I
didn't hear anything about a white cane. I figured he hadn't brought one on
stage. I always attend any concert if one of our own is performing. So far,
nobody has had other than sighted guide. This included Ray Charles, Diane
Schurr, and George shirring. When I was in the audience for the Ray Charles
concerts, I heard the stage staff discussion the best way for someone to
bring Ray onstage. I kept thinking of this during the movie. The staff was
really vocal about it! I remember I felt badly because there was more than
one person walking out with Ray!
