In my case, Lauren, I am glad I received my cane when I was twelve. Like it
or not, I had to use it.

Hi,
I was 17, almost 18, when I finally used a cane. It occurred when I went to
college. Before that, I would hide it in the closet. I was first
introduced to a cane when I was 12 and that was the wrong age to introduce
someone to a cane.
Thanks
Lauren
