Very true.  And unfortunatley I am old enough to remember those shorter 
games.  The old Seattle Rainiers with Leo Lassen announcing, would begin at 
8:00 PM. and be over before 10:00 PM.
In fact, I could go to the game from Queen Anne hill in north Seattle, out 
to the ball yard in Rainier valley and be home by bus, by 10:30 PM.
Many folks would get off work, go to dinner and then on to the game.  Today 
you couldn't get through traffic in that amount of time.
