Who Should attend? - Providers of Vocational Rehabilitation services,
children services, individuals with disabilities, parents with children
with disabilities, employment service providers, businesses and
community members should attend the:
2007 "Beyond Disabilities" CONFERENCE
Our Keynote speakers, Alex Valdez and John Evans, will share with us
their life-long experiences with a motivating message of awareness
related to disabilities and an educational training on ADA. The
Conference will provide critical information on topics that impact the
growing community of farm workers with disabilities across the region.
Provisional workshops include:
* Best Migrant VR Practices.
* Michael Walling, with Benefits Training and Consulting, on
Social Security Work Incentives.
* Cultural Competency for Workforce Professionals. Culture: The
Third Dimension.
* Transition Models (School to Work)
* Fartherhood Training Opportunities
* The Value of a Good "Mental Health"
The 2007 "Beyond Disability" Conference is hosted by the Washington
State Migrant Council, in partnership with:
RSA, Washington Division of Developmental Disabilities, Division of
Vocational Rehabilitation, Western Washington University (CCER), ESD,
CORE, PAVE, Children Village, Employment Security, Social Security
Administration, Washington Labor and Industry as well as local
businesses and NAMSFVR.

Hotel room rate is at $60.00/night for single and $80.00 for double
occupancy (government rate for Kennewick). Cut-off date for
reservations, August 22, 2007.

Conference Registration fees $195.00 before August 31, 2007.
Registrations received post cutoff date will be subject to additional
