Hi,
I came home today from the hospital after breaking my left ankle.  I had problems with the doctor not letting me come home because of blindness.  At first he was insisting that I had to have 24-hour care for him to sign off.  We don't qualify for any help out there so we would have to pay through the nose for such help.  Thank goodness the social worker listened to me and got him to relent.  

Things are harder here at home because our apartment isn't wheelchair-accessible.  I had to be carried up the 8 stairs to our apartment which was pretty scary; a bumpy ride.  The wheelchair doesn't go everywhere I need to go, including our office, so I am using the office chair to wheel into the office and up to my computer.  

My ankle doesn't hurt much but it sure has been different functioning one-legged.  I think I get the cast off September 13th.  

I had ten thousand, four hundred some emails in my inbox when I got home, so it'll be a while before I catch up.  Yikes!
