I have just learned from LouOma that  the conference report on the House
and senate appropriations bills includes about $600,000 and four new
employees for the Washington Department of Services for the Blind's
Child and Family program, which is an item that the National Federation
of the Blind of Washington support by resolution this fall.

Hopefully, this new resource infusion will allow the DSB Child and
Family Program to have an even greater impact on blind children and
youth services in the state.
