Hi Judy,
Thanks for caring.  Yes, I am transfering from computer to 3.5 floppy disk 
and then from the disk drive to the Braille 'N' Speak.  All of the items you 
mentioned have either happened to me or I am aware of them.
I did come up with a sort of solution.  I have opened a file on the Braille 
'N' Speak, copied it to the disk drive, opened it on my computer under Micro 
Soft Word, then going to my Documents and opening a file and copying the 
text to my clip board.  Then I return to the 3.5 floppy and load the text 
into the new file.  Returning to the disk drive I send the file to my 
Braille 'N' Speak.  Sometimes I've had to rename the file.
It dumps it into the Braille 'N' Speak in Grade One Braille and I can't 
convert it to Grade Two.  I'm still working on that.  But at least I've 
salvaged my phone and address files.  That is a very big relief.
