Good Afternoon All,



Just a quick reminder that our deadline for shipping out your Meet the
Blind Month materials via free matter is Friday, September 15.  This
does not mean that you cannot get materials after that date, but only
that shipping will be at your expense if materials must be sent other
than free matter.



This year we have sped up the order process by pre-packaging specific
popular NFB literature in various size quantities.  The literature
selections we are including can be accessed from our  Web site
(www.nfb.org <http://www.nfb.org/> ) under Members, Member Information,
Meet the Blind Month
(http://www.nfb.org/nfb/Meet_the_Blind_Month.asp?SnID=1889601719).  You
can place an order online by simply filling out the  Event Registration
and Literature Order Form, which will provide us with the details of
your planned activities and with your request for materials.



If you already have enough materials to carry out your planned events,
please complete the event registration portion of the online form only
so that we are aware of the activities your chapter is planning.  We
will then update the Meet the Blind Month Events page on our Web site,
which describes events in each state

During your events, please take some photographs, if possible, and
forward them electronically to jlazarus at nfb.org

Center in Baltimore.  Be sure to provide the date, location, and names
of anyone in the photographs that you know.  We will use some of the
photographs in the December Braille Monitor article about Meet the Blind
Month.
