Due to your interest in transportation issues, I thought you would appreciate an update from today's King County Council meeting.

As a daily bus rider, I was pleased to vote "yes" for "Transit Now" when it came before the Council today.  The vote was 8-1.  "Transit Now" proposes a sales tax increase of 1/10 of a penny for increased Metro bus service.  The cost to the average household is $25.00 per year.  The proposal will now be placed on the November ballot.
