Sorry Kris, I guess in this case being honest with the person about his bad  
behavior is what I would do. Maybe some partially sighted people find that 
doing  this is amusing. It isn't. And you are right, it makes things harder on 
all of  us, who wish to show the truth about blindness. I've also seen cases 
where  some partilly sighted people never use any of their vision they have left, 
 I'm not sure why that is. I for one use it, but in a limited way. Some swing 
the  opposite direction and deny their disability. Either extreme may not be  
helpful to the person. 
 
I for one am offended that this indivual chose to make such a bad first  
impression. I would have no choice but to take the person to the side and be  
honest with him. He may take offense, but I think that is the best way to handle  
the situation.
