Hey, That's why I'm going to convention, to "meet the blind." If it
takes a month, my hotel bill will be expensive.

Subject: Meet the Blind Month Seminar at National Convention
Greetings Affiliate presidents and Meet the Blind Month planners:
Once again, we are only days away from National Convention. This
message is a reminder for the Meet The Blind Month Activities and Other
Special Events Seminar on Wednesday afternoon, July 5, from 3:30 p.m. -
5:00 p.m. in the LaLique Room, Atrium Mezzanine.
Find out about entertaining and fun events that you can plan for your
affiliate or chapter's Meet the Blind Month in October. Learn about
ideas and strategies for planning other special events. We encourage
you to attend this seminar, or send a representative to share ideas and
learn what other Meet the Blind Month activities are being planned for
this year.
In 2005, the NFB organized more than 300 events nationwide. I
anticipate that we will exceed that number in 2006!
Effective and successful events take time to plan properly, organize,
and advertise. Make your upcoming events as successful as possible by
learning techniques used by Federationists around the country.
Looking forward to your attendance.
Best regards,
Jerry
