Greetings, all!

The National Federation of the Blind of Washington awards scholarships 
to outstanding blind students each year. I appoint a committee to 
examine applications from those who wish to receive scholarships and 
pick the winners. Traditionally, the NFB of Washington awards two 
scholarships: The Beverly Prows Memorial Scholarship and the Hazel 
tenBroek Merit Scholarship (although this should probably be renamed the

Hazel ten Broek Memorial Scholarship as Mrs. tenBroek is now deceased). 
I appoint the following committee to determine the winners for the 2006 
scholarships:

Rita Szantay, Chair
Bennett Prows
Judy Jones
Don Mitchell
Maria Bradford

The scholarships will be awarded during the banquet of the 2006 NFB of 
Washington convention at the Red Lion Inn at the Quay in Vancouver on 
November 4, 2006.
