Hello to all,
This was my ninth convention I've attended, and loved it. As usual, there isn't enough time to get to all the meetings you want to go to, but I played it smart this year, and thanks to the wealth of info given us prior to convention, was able to arrange my schedule ahead of time. Among others, I made the NAGDU meeting, blind parents meeting, and was especially interested in the sessions on mentoring and the NFBlink.. I've already signed up as an online mentor. I honestly believe that mentoring is a wave of the future with agency funding and state resources cut.
I also saw old friends and made new ones.
I enjoyed again working on the Affiliate Action Committee, and Bruce Gardner does such a great job of heading everything up.
I liked the layout of the hotel and always enjoy the walking around, exploring the best and quickest routes.
Oh yes, also got to "play with" a KNFB reader and enjoyed that very much.
Hope to go to Atlanta next year, and so does Chris.
