Hi Judy,

     Here is an update on Kathryn.  YOu can give this to the list if you 
wish but I don't think I can write this again.

     Saturday Kathryn was taken to St. Joseph's hospital at around 8:15 that 
morning.  She complained in the middle of the night of shortness of breath 
and chest pains.

     They did the tests and she had major congestive heart failure.  Her 
roommate said she had the call button for at least 2 hours before someone 
came to see what the problem was.  When I was there they used to call 
Kathryn the complainer and other things.

     Kathryn is on oxygen all the time now and has been told there are no 
options for her.  The medications will not help her and surgery is out 
because she is not strong enough to make it through the surgery and the long 
recovery period after the surgery.

     Tomorrow she has decided to be checked in to hospis care and dialysis 
will be discontinued.  I am letting you know these things because I may need 
help after Kathryn passes away and also I will be with her and probably will 
not be at the Federation meeting this Saturday.
