The Amazing Giant Olympic Slug

>From time to time I have mentioned the amazing Giant Olympic Slug. Lest someone protest that this is not a topic for this list, let me hasten to assure
you that nothing could be further from the truth.
For it is a known fact that the Giant Olympic Slug has strange healing powers. This has been known to the tribal elders of the Makah Indians in far off
Neah Bay.
Only recently, in our travels, have Cathy and I stumbled onto the most astounding cures of Macular Degeneration, Cataracts, RP, and Glaucoma, to name only
a few.
We drove to Neah Bay, called the jumping off place, to interview an elderly chief named Chief Jim Greene. No one knows just how old Chief Jim is, but he
returned to the native village some 50 years ago because of poor health and failing eyesight. Chief Jim had been in the Merchant Marines during the First
World War, as well as WWII.
In 1971 his daughter Minnie Johnston, retired as a bar tender at the Scenic Tavern on Seattle's water front, and returned to Neah Bay to care for her ailing
father. Minnie was born at Harbor View Hospital in 1906.
When she arrived, Minnie was over come with joy, finding her father healthier and more vigorous than he'd been in years. His eye sight and hearing had
been completely restored. His arthritis was gone, including the severe back pain.
Minnie knew that Cathy and I had provided vision services to some of her family members, and so she called us and shared her marvelous news. She said we
must see this for ourselves, and besides, she was throwing herself a birthday party to celebrate her one hundredth birthday.
When we arrived, we had to shove our way through the crowd gathered at the tribal center. There, in the middle of the stage, stood Chief Jim. We had been
prepared to see a wizened, shriveled old man with wispy thin white hair and quavering voice.
Instead, we found ourselves staring at a man who appeared to be around fifty years old, straight and strong, with bright, intelligent brown eyes.
"He must be at least one hundred and twenty years old", Cathy muttered in my ear.
When Chief Jim finally granted us time to chat, we learned of the ancient secret for long life and good health, discovered by Chief Jim after he had come
home, prepared to die.
And it all centered on the Giant Olympic Slug, known to the Makah's as, "Sequimphysst", or, "God's Gift".
Chief Jim has given me permission, when the Moon is right, to share with the world this amazing secret.
This secret will come in the form of an ancient recipe. A fair warning to all who are possessed of a squeamish stomach, you may not want to open that message.
